Park re-opening celebration: To be rescheduled: Delayed from Nov 3rd

DSC03799Friends of Berczy Park is thrilled to announce that The City of Toronto will soon host a public re-opening celebration in the revitalized Berczy Park. The event unfortunately has been delayed by a few weeks – from the previously announced date of  Thursday November 3rd -due to extra time required by crews to complete park finishing touches.  Stay tuned for a new re-opening event date and time.

As construction crews scurry to complete the park by end of October, The City is now planning the public opening celebration in partnership with the St Lawrence Market


Canada Day at Berczy Park by LD (16)

Neighbourhood BIA, St Lawrence Neighbourhood Association and Friends of Berczy Park.

While event details are in the works, you can expect:

  • Opening remarks by the Deputy Mayor;
  • Comments by the designer Claude Cormier, of Cormier et Associes;
  • Music and refreshments;

    Why has so much of the park been paved over? I believe the signs during construction promised an increase in green areas as well as trees and this is not so! Was there some change in plans?
