Berczy loses more trees

10 Apr

Two more mature trees were chopped down in Berczy Park today. See the earlier posts below for the City’s explanation for reducing the park’s tree canopy. Share your thoughts here on our blog, or contact the City directly if you have comments or questions.

It doesn’t do any good to contact the city. I tried that a year ago when one of the trees was suffering from a blight. They did nothing. This group has to become powerful, grassroots power may be the answer.

Thanks for the comment. We hope that by working together, FOBP can encourage decision-makers to take closer note of the park, and so far the City is listening. We do recommend contacting the City directly if you have a concern, since the more they hear from voters and taxpayers, the more likely they are to act.
